On 4th May, Boris Johnson came to Bath where a reception was held by the local Conservative Association. He gave a good speech and then chatted to various association members. Photos kindly provided by Simon Scapa from Bristol Conservative Future.

David Cameron Visits Bath

On the 23rd March, David Cameron visited the University of Bath to discuss environmental and sustainability issues with local researchers. He also gave a speech to the party faithful at Saltford Hall in Wansdyke.

How To Be An MP

On Saturday the 17th of March, Bath Conservative Future were kindly invited to ‘How To Be An MP’ hosted by Nick Webb and North West Bristol Conservative association. Junior Shadow Defence Minister Mark Harper MP was on hand to offer helpful advice to those wishing to undertake a future career in either local or national politics.

Bath CF Meet Local Bathwick Conservative Councillors

23rd February 2007 | Bath University, Bath

On Friday the 23rd of February, Bath Conservative Future met with local Conservative councillors for the ward of Bathwick. John Bailey and Sir Elgar Jenkins OBE are standing again this coming May in the local elections and are hoping to be returned as Bathwick’s councillors. John has represented the people of Bathwick since the late 1980s, and Elgar for the past four years. Bath CF will be working closely with them to ensure a strong result against the Lib Dems.

Lord Rees-Mogg Foreign Affairs Lecture

22nd February 2007 | Bath University, Bath

The Rt. Hon Lord Rees-Mogg of Hinton Blewitt gave a public lecture at the University of Bath entitled “Issues in Foreign Policy.” He was Editor of The Times from 1967 to 1981 and now sits as an independent peer in the House of Lords.

Tory Reform Group Event

29th January 2007 | House Of Commons, London

The Tory Reform Group (TRG) ran a social event hosted by former Chancellor and Conservative MP Ken Clarke in the Jubilee Room of House of Commons. Five members of Conservative Future in Bath attended the excellent event where we met many more Conservative Future members from around the country, including those from Exeter, UCL, Kings College London, Imperial, Cambridge and Queen Mary.

Bath Uni Ale House Meeting
